Robert S. Wolmer, JD, LLM, comes to Ogle International Tax Advisors from a successful career in international tax planning and investment banking. After graduating from law school, Rob joined Kidder, Peabody & Co where he worked in corporate finance for a broad range of global companies and asset securitization. He then returned to law school to obtain his graduate degree in tax law. He worked for several years as a tax attorney with King & Spalding where his experience included partnership, corporate and international tax for both domestic and foreign clients. Robert’s experience includes a broad range (both inbound and outbound) of international tax planning and structuring for corporate and financial institution clients headquartered both in the US and Europe. In the development of efficient cross-border strategies, he has examined not only the tax elements, but the accounting, compliance, legal and regulatory implications as well. His projects have included deferral strategies, repatriation strategies, multiple deduction financings, and foreign tax credit enhanced investments. His international tax experience has included substantial work with foreign currency issues, controlled foreign corporations, passive foreign investment companies, and hybrid entities and securities.
