Cathy V. Blanchard, CPA joined Ogle International Tax Advisors in September 2008.  She has 14 years of accounting and tax experience.  Her core focus with Ogle International Tax Advisors is consulting corporate and individual clients on their U.S. international tax compliance requirements and on various transactional matters.

Cathy's role in the U.S. international tax practice includes working with and advising U.S. exporters in forming Interest-Charge Domestic International Sales Corporations (IC-DISCs) and the related tax compliance requirements.  Additionally, she works on compliance issues involving U.S. Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFCs), “check the box” classification rules applying to foreign entities, tax withholding filings for non-resident individuals and the earned income exclusion for U.S. citizens working abroad.
  
Cathy started her career in 1995 working for Arthur Andersen, LLP in their tax department in Atlanta, GA.  She was involved in tax reporting services, including the preparation of returns for indivuals, estates, trusts, partnerships and corporations.  She also worked as a tax consultant in the areas of personal financial planning, health care, and corporate tax planning.

Cathy moved back to Florida 11 years ago and has continued working in the tax department for Public Accounting Firms since then.  Her role included preparing tax returns for individuals, estates, trusts, partnerships and corporations.  It also involved individual tax planning.

Her educational background is as follows:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, University of Florida
